In June 2007, our 12 year old mixed breed dog was diagnosed with Cushings disease. We started treatment and he has been doing well. In February 2008, Beatnik, now 13 tore the ACL in his right leg. Dr. T. at ....Animal Hospital performed the surgery.

       We had been warned that recovery could be slow due to his age and the Cushings disease. Following surgery we decided to try laser therapy to help speed his recovery. Fifteen days post-surgery, after four laser treatments, Beatnik is doing remarkably well. He is fully weight bearing on the leg. He stretches out the leg. We are taking him for long walks 3-4 times a day.

      Its hard to contain him. He wants to jump up on the bed and sofa and has successfully jumped up once without injury. The only thing he has not done on the leg at this point is run. We are thrilled with his recovery and the way he has responded to the laser therapy.
